Did you know that Amelia Earhart disappeared into the ocean? Amelia Earhart was the first female pilot in the world. What was main her main type of work? She was the first woman pilot in the world, she flew a plane across the Atlantic ocean. Amelia worked in a Toronto hospital until World War II. She won a bronze medal because she flew across the Atlantic ocean.  She also made a non-stop transatlantic flight. She disappeared in 1937 on a flight from Miami to Brazil, and was never seen again.
